Water For All, And Water For Smile
According to UNICEF and WHO, 1 in 3 people globally cannot access safe drinking water. Take Eritrea,
a state in northern Africa, for example, 80% of its population lack access to easily accessible
fresh water and basic water services.
Waterdrop wants to provide equal access to clean, healthy, and safe drinking water for everyone. In
2019, Waterdrop partnered with The Water Project, a non-profit organization, to provide reliable
water projects to sub-Saharan African communities suffering needlessly from lack of access to proper
sanitation and clean water. We want to do our part in ending the water crisis, restoring peopleβs
homes, improving the health of children and their families, and giving people back the time lost in
collecting water.
Water4Smile is a platform we initiated to promote water stewardship and to trigger a wider industry
action to make a change, hopefully. Our first aim is to achieve a βWater for Allβ vision where
everyone has equal access to clean, healthy, and safe water. The next goal is to raise awareness
about the sustainable uses of water. To achieve our goals, we continually put effort and resources
into R&D, we also use innovation to provide socially equitable, economically beneficial, and
environmentally sustainable fresh water.
